Hope Coffee and Eggdicted Sandwiches
Post by Chiefeater Jon Besar
I work out of Taylor’s University regularly. There was a time when there was just not many selection for good coffee and a decent breakfast at 8:00 am. Unless it’s Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Family Mart, etc. Quite often I would have to head to Sunway. However, post-pandemic, there seems to be a lot more offering at the University. One such place is Hope Coffee.
A new and simple setup (nothing fancy but a clean place with lots of tables and chairs) offering consistently good coffee at a decent price - a standard latte is only RM7, which I find it hard beat. Here, you’ll either get a sub-par coffee at ridiculous pricing or very cheap coffee at the risks of drinking something bad. Admit-tingly, I’ve not tried all of the offerings at Taylor’s University yet. There is still a couple of new places that I need to check out.
Hope Coffee also offers a variety of egg sandwiches under their Eggdicted brand. I’ve tried a couple of them in the past but today I settled for the Avolicious - thick toasts filled with scramble eggs mixed with an avocado guacamole, then topped with a generous amount of sauce. Whilst the flavours was good, I felt it was a bit too much sauce as the guacamole was already good enough.
To sum it up, Hope Coffee offers up something unique currently that the other places may not get right targeting the Taylor’s stakeholders - good coffee, fair pricing, decent sandwich menu selection, lots of seating area to work from.
There is always Hope for a better coffee.
