San by Three Wine Cat Rice
Post by Chiefeater PC Wong
Cosy place for a dinner. San by Three Wines at the Ascott Gurney in Penang. The food is a unique blend of Western and Asian. The duck confit is superlicious as are the mussels cooked in white wine with an Asian twist of ginger. The cat rice is unique by itself and captivating (seen on top). The cat rice is a blend of fish flakes, bonito flakes and an egg yolk.
Editor's Note
It would appear no cat was used in the making of the rice.
Interestingly, you won't be able to Google San by Three Wines and find them at Ascott. It will show you their original outlet, Three Wines, in Bayan Lepas. Chiefeater PC Wong has made an un-googleable find.
