Fish & Chips
Now open at One Holland Village, South Bank Fish & Chips brings Britain’s favourite comfort food to town — freshly battered fish, crispy golden chips, and all the classic sides done right. It’s the kind of place where you come for a casual meal, stay for a pint, and leave already planning your next visit. No frills, just honest, feel-good food that hits the spot.
Run by the same team behind Josh’s Grill and Poulet, South Bank turns up the flavour with premium halibut and haddock on the menu. Service is quick, the portions are hearty, and every plate arrives piping hot. The atmosphere feels lively but relaxed — perfect for a weekend lunch or easy dinner with friends.
Beyond the signature fish and chips, the menu packs in plenty of crave-worthy bites. The fried cauliflower and onion rings are crowd favourites, but the rosti steals the show — crispy, golden, and made for potato lovers. With good food, generous portions and a cheerful setting, South Bank Fish & Chips makes a strong case for being your next go-to spot at One Holland Village.
It’s a breezy, contemporary spot where high-quality London-style “chippy” fare and a truly inclusive, dog-friendly atmosphere create the perfect weekend anchor for the whole family.
Brings back fond memories of my days in the British isles. They’ve choices of fish such as halibut, cod, haddock, barramundi and others.
My personal fav over the years since the 1980s is the flakier haddock. Reminiscent of the newspaper wrapped morsels back in the day. Southbank does justice to nostalgia – every fish we had was at least 7/10
The myriad of sauces was quite impressive as well – they had a new en vogue curry 🍛dipping sauce to complement the usual mayo and butter brown sauce. They had the classic vinegar as well!
The chips are excellent. Wash it all down with a pint. Alas they’ve not the classic ales and pales of the isles- hopefully they get this right moving forward. But for now a Kirin will do just fine.
