Pelican Kipos is a restaurant situated in the heart of Fira, Greece, offering a serene garden setting adorned with palm trees, vibrant flowers, and pergolas. Guests can enjoy a variety of Mediterranean dishes, including traditional Greek and Santorinian flavors, complemented by an extensive selection of over 600 wines from Santorini, Greece, and around the world. The wine cellar, housed in a 400-year-old vaulted cave beneath the garden, provides a unique tasting experience. The restaurant caters to various dietary preferences, offering vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Pelican Kipos is open daily from 8:00 AM to midnight, providing a peaceful retreat in the bustling town center.

They’ve a few caves underground (yes!) where precious Assyrtikos and other Grecian wines are preserved! The food was good at 7/10 for all except maybe the seafood linguine (6.5/10).

The grilled sea bass x2 was good – succulent and full of herbaceous nuttiness from the native olive oils. I’ve not had a bad (grilled) seafood in Greece (yet).

The scorpion fish (first time for me) is wonderful. Its white meat is as delicate as a tungsingpan. But tastes even sweeter. 8/10

The octopus is 7.5/10 – freshly caught in Aegean and Ionian waters nearby. Splendid.
