Wantan Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
Boon Kee Wantan Mee at Medan Selera Taman Sentosa Bukit Mertajam is a very old and popular wantan mee stall in Bukit Mertajam.
Mr Chew, a septuagenarian, and his family run this stall and they have been selling this simple yet delicious egg noodle dish since 1982. Just like other wantan mee stalls, both the soup and dry versions are offered. Tua pan koay teow (broad rice noodles) is also available.

The ingredients; boiled wantan, green choy sum, char siew, chopped spring onions and thick, dark gravy.

Mr and Mrs Chew, kindly posing for a couple photo.
Personally, I prefer the dry wantan mee where the noodles are tossed with oil and dark soy sauce before they are served with slices of char siew (barbequed pork), boiled wantan, green vegetables and a splash of thick, dark gravy over it.
