I discovered a newly opened Ipoh-style Sar Hor Fun stall inside the 26 Kopitiam (formerly known as WS Kopitiam) next to the Kepong market. The golden-colored Ipoh-style chicken caught my attention, especially the succulent and fatty chicken skin. Each portion of chicken is deboned and placed on a bed of bean sprouts. Before serving, it is drenched in hot chicken broth and topped with a flavorful soy sauce.
The Ipoh-style chicken is aromatic and tender, and the specially prepared soy sauce is fragrant and sweet. Currently, you can enjoy a bowl of shredded chicken Sar Hor Fun with an additional portion of bean sprouts and Ipoh-style chicken for only RM14.50. The owner mentioned that no MSG is used in the soup base, and it is all made from fresh ingredients. It’s a delightful experience!
