Chicken Chop, Halal
The area around SS3 to SS5 were familiar while growing up. The landscape there has certainly changed since I last live her and so has the F&B scene. The Humble Food Company is one of the new additions here, having opened here in 2021.
Sticking to my usual go-to item, I ordered their grilled chicken chop with sides of a cheese omelette and fries. The dish arrived with a visual impression that left me wondering whether I was seeing in 2D. The cheese omelette presented itself as almost a thin sheet of yellow on the plate. However, the true magic unfolded with the very first bite. The seemingly flat surface belied an explosion of flavours, where the richness of cheese harmonized seamlessly with the velvety texture of perfectly cooked eggs. A delightful surprise for the taste buds, turning a simple side into a star of the meal.

The chicken chop was also well-seasoned and expertly grilled. There was no charring on the skin and the chicken had a nice tender bite.

Their name may say The Humble Food. However, just because they are humble and simple dishes doesn’t mean they don’t take their food seriously. Done well a comforting dish that proved simplicity could indeed be very satisfying and that’s what they have pulled off here.
The Humble Food Company Kelana Jaya is a suitable space for events and can host casual parties of up to 80 pax at both their indoor and outdoor space. Minimum spend is just RM2,500 for a 3 hour event. Plan your birthday parties or your office parties here.
