So happy to discover this authentic place for Sarawak Kolomee and Laksa Sarawak at Weld Quay! Newly opened 6 months ago with lady boss from Kuching and 2 helpful servers from Miri - they were so honest and hospitable that they were worried we over-ordered and scared we couldn't finish! Oh we finished all we ordered and bounced back with extra bowl of original kolomee, full of lard flavour on the springy al-dente noodles, creamy smooth yummy good, topped with tender juicy char siew.
So here's what we ordered:
2 Kolomee - red and white (RM8 each).
Laksa Sarawak- generous portion of prawns and shredded chicken (RM16 a bowl).
Pork soup mix - gingery soup with chinese wine and mix of lean pork slices, pork ball, stomach and liver rm11
Wanton soup - 14 pcs per serving (RM8.50)
Kopi O butter & kopi butter - dark and flavourful RM3.50 and RM4 respectively.
Our total bill for all this was RM59. Super fab deal!
Located inside the Bubble Carwash off Weld Quay, parking is free when u patronise the Cafe. Parking is chargeable at rm6 if u stil park there after the meal. Open everyday from 9am to 6pm, we wil be coming back for our Kolomee / Laksa Sarawak treat.
