Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant Teochew Dinner
Teochew
Chiefeater Patrick Sato Lee had a simple Teochew style dinner at Tang Jai Yoo Restaurant in Bangkok's Chinatown

Pan Mee, Non-Halal
Found out about Jeng Pan Mee SS2 recently and decided to give it a try! Hometown Pan Mee Soup is rich and flavourful, with a nice balance of savoury taste.

Noodles are handmade daily — springy and chewy! Portion is generous, with minced pork, sliced pork, mushroom, vegetables, fried onion and fried anchovies. Very comforting bowl.

Also tried their Loh Pan Mee and the broth is dark and aromatic . If you like something strong in flavour, this is a must-try!

Dry Pan Mee is another highlight — noodles coated with their signature dark sauce. Savoury and addictive!

Don’t forget to order their homemade Dumplings and Wantons. Dumplings are plump and juicy. Wantons are silky smooth with a generous pork & prawn filling. Both are perfect as a side or even on their own.

For drinks, their Kopi and Teh are solid choices — fragrant, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to your bowl of pan mee.
Pricing is very reasonable for handmade noodles and fillings. Definitely a place I’ll come back again! They also got another branch in SS15, Subang Jaya.
