Hokkien Mee, Non-Halal
I was back at Arthur’s Storehouse Pavilion Bukit Jalil to finish off the the remaining pints of Guinness that were still held in custody. This time I ordered a trio of delights — shepherd’s pie, onion rings, and a hokkien mee.

Guiness Shepherd’s Pie
The Guinness shepherd’s pie (RM39++), an emblematic classic, left room for a nuanced exploration. While the medley of textures danced gracefully on the palate, the dish yearned for a symphony of seasonings to elevate it to greater heights.

Onion Rings
In contrast, the onion rings or what they call Onion Floss (RM15++) in their menu stole the spotlight with their unadulterated excellence. A testament to the culinary craftsmanship, each golden ring encapsulated a crunch that resonated with perfection, turning a simple side into a gastronomic triumph.

Hokkien Mee
The hokkien mee (RM39++), a hero in its own right, unfolded a tale of rich flavours and the captivating essence of wok hei. This rendition of a local favourite, albeit priced at a premium, encapsulated the essence of this classic Malaysian dish.
