Nyonya, Non-Halal
We stumbled across this Baba Nyonya Claypot due to Wesak Day procession on Jalan Raja Uda. Jalan Raja uda was blocked, and the floats we just arriving, so a fast u turn is call for and we than headed to Butterworth town, wondering what to eat …. at 830 pm Tokyo restaurant is already closing. However just opposite is a beacon of light, hope for some food.

we step in and was treated by a multi racial crowd of Indians and Chinese patrons. quickly found a seat and was handed a menu, thanks to Google lens which performed the Translation duties of the all Mandarin Menu, the only item I recognised is 100+….
A straight forward simple menu, Nyonya curry , with 5 seafood choices, We had the Sting ray, 5 meat choices 3 sold out ! we had the Fermented Bean Curd Deep Fried pork, and the Onion Egg (I will not call it an omelette)

Food came out all at once , and the verdict is….. food tasty more than acceptable, the curry was done in a manner there no oil. no need for me to reach for the all important soya sauce, nor was there sambal etc.
they are open lunch and dinner. close at 9pm like many Butterworth establishment, located at Jalan Kampong Bangalli South end.
