Western, Pork-Free
since it is my birthday, decided to go for some good food – treated myself lah. and since it is lunch hour during office, so had to go to my office building – gurney walk area. went to the cueva restaurant to try the set lunch which is at RM38, with salad/soup, main, dessert. i had been to this restaurant before last year to try the tapas set with a friend. i know. this is kind of a classy? premium? restaurant, thus the food there are on the high side.
Set lunch – quite a lot of choice. i settled on the seabass thermidor. overall, it was delicious. for dessert, it was vanilla ice cream but since i don’t like vanilla, i said, it’s ok, i don’t want the dessert but the server as kind enough to replace cheesecake for me.

this is starter. mushroom soup. tasted good.

this is the main – seabass thermidor. with mashed potatoes, broccoli, carrot, mushroom. overall, delicious. love the seabass with so much of the sauce. bottom pic show close up of the seabass. sauce is so good. fish is tender and fresh.

this is the dessert, suppose to be vanilla ice cream but as i don’t want it, the server was kind enough to replace with this cheesecake, which was very delicious. very unlike other cheesecake i try before as this is not too soft/creamy.

the set lunch doe not include drinks but i was served a glass of plain water. i decided to order a drink anyway – rose latte at RM15.00. very good.

there’s a 10% service charge and with that i alone spent RM58.30 for lunch. never mind lah… my own birthday treat.
