Thai, Rice, Non-Halal
Being a regular at Old Market Food Court (Butterworth) one noticed that stalls open up and shut down, it's the old timers that stay on. Not to long ago, we noticed there a New Stall, Thai Food which we decided finally to check out and found it's mainly one dish meals.
What I know about Thai Food, can be sum up in "Tom Yam" and "Som Tam" the green papaya salad..... Spicy n Sour which they have as well as Fried Rice, Thai Basil Pork / Chicken. as well as the dish I ordered today, which is unlike most Thai Food I know, not spicy, not sour.
Stir Fried Pork with Kale. It comes with a Omelette on top of the rice. The taste profile is more like a Chinese Dish than anything else, but nicely done with the pork slices nice and tender. Delicious! What made it more interesting is that they are open in the Afternoon time as well, as my lunch is now definitely after 2pm.
How Authentic is it? I have no idea but this dish suits me. Will be back at this stall in Old Market Food Court for more.
