If you've ever had Indonesian food, you'll know that bakmie is no ordinary fried noodle. Here's our luxe version today at Kota Gede's gorgeous Omah Kalang - housed in an art deco building built as a silver trading house in 1939. Everything on the plate was a contrast in flavours and the noodle had a lap cheong-like undertone. Wah. And to think we'd only planned to have coffee. Oh hang on, I had that too.
