Chiefeater Pat Lim had the mixed curry mee which is a combo of Penang & KL styles at Jia Li Mian Noodle House
Otak Otak, Street Food, Non-Halal
Let me introduce you to a not so commonly found Penang Dish, Otak Otak. It's a Nyonya delicacy found at certain sellers at Kopi Tiam and Markets. They are sold by stalls that sell Kuih as well. For today's review, this Otak Otak is found at Restoran Lucky Butterworth.
The version that Penang Lang are used to is a slice of boneless fish on a bed of Daun Kadok (Piper sarmentosum ), eggs and spices, wrapped in banana leaf and serve steam.
This differs from the south Malaysia Version which is Grilled. I had this from the Kuih, Pau Seller at Restoran Lucky Butterworth.
