Yesterday we went back to these row of shops after nearly 3 years due to covid. If you are here at Restoran Pak Punjab, you will feel like you are walking in Pakistan not Malaysia.
Do not expect fancy decor but the food here is authentically Pakistani food. We had cheese naan. Pakistanis will laugh when we order cheese naan, they only eat plain ones. Chicken karahi, Chicken Tikka, Briyani, Raita and a Salad were our other orders.
Hubby had clay pot chai and I took home clay pot rasmalai, a milk and paneer based dessert. They also have a grocery shop next door that sells desserts , sweets and spices from Pakistan. No fancy presentation but taste oh la la.
Rasmalai, or as it is traditionally called Rossomoloi, is an Indian continent delicacy of spongy soft cheese dumplings. They are are cooked in sugar syrup and then soaked in creamy cardamom-saffron milk, absorbing all the lovely flavors. Rasmalai is a combination of two words “Ras” meaning juice and “Malai” meaning cream.
