Grilled Chicken Wings at Restoran Soon Sing

These savoury grilled chicken wings at Restoran Soon Sing are among my better finds in Pusat Bandar Puchong, especially once the charcoal fire gets going

Chicken Chop, Pork-Free
This week felt like a nostalgic food tour, revisiting places we hadn’t been to in a while. Lunch at Shiok was a return to one of my favourite chicken chop spots, and I’m happy to report that despite the price increase to RM22.90, the quality has been well maintained.
The fried chicken chop known as the Carribean Fried Chicken Chop remained as crispy, juicy, and flavourful as I remembered, with a bold and peppery black pepper sauce that packed just the right balance of savoury heat. The meat was good too, not too hard which sometimes happens with fried chicken chop. The french fries were a standout—fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside, and well-seasoned, making them easily one of the better fries you can find in Puchong.

Jen had a Thai Basil Chicken Rice (RM13.90) which she said was delicious too.

Our meal for 2 pax including drinks came up to RM52.65. While prices have inevitably risen, Shiok Kopitiam Bandar Kinrara has maintained its commitment to quality. This is a still a solid and satisfying chicken chop.
