Sri Ganapathi Mess, an Indian banana leaf rice eatery, is a hidden gem in the old area of Petaling Jaya.
The cup in the picture below esembling coffee is their signature dish, the “Crab Rasam”, a spicy soup made from crab and spices. Highly recommended is their fried onion mutton, freshly prepared upon order. The outer layer is crispy, while the meat remains tender, and the aroma of onions makes it absolutely delightful. Each serving of banana leaf rice is priced at only RM10, and you can enjoy unlimited servings of Indian rice, assorted side dishes, and fried bread. For those who enjoy hand-pulled rice meals, this is a must-try place!
