Beef, Fine Dining
World Wagyu Club Singapore is a members only dining establishment serving the freshest cuts of beef from Japan. Literally. You’d have chucks and flaps from Shizuoka, tenderloins from Hokkaido and striploins from another prefecture.
I was lucky to be invited by the maitre’d, Yoshi. He grilled every piece, every cut to perfection.
The most interesting part was the tongue for me. It was tender beyond my expectations.
When food is good we usually go silent. And that was the case with my colleagues. The room was silent. And for me as a writer, I’m lost for words as well. Everything was at least a 7.5/10. Since it’s my first time - I will go with that score. Doesn’t come cheap, but there are two seatings 5.30pm and 8.30pm. The meal comes with free flow of drinks for 100 mins.
World Wagyu Club has locations in Dubai, Bangkok and Italy; and is bringing Japanese beef to the world. Singapore is their latest outlet. Oh and it’s quintessentially Japanese, the cuts, the drinks and with a team of servers led by Yoshi-san.
Obviously the service is impeccable, akin to a Burnts End but at a personal, intricate level - everything is shown, cut and cooked/grilled right in front of your eyes. The VIP rooms were tastefully opulent.
If you’re a steak lover, this would be heaven on earth.
