Pork Innards Porridge, Non-Halal
Looking for distinctive tastes of the old era? If you do, then come to Choi Kee, a stall located at Hong Kong Cafe, Kuantan for their Wanton Mee or Chee Cheong Choke (Pork Innards Porridge).
This stall owner obviously, has inherited the skills of his late father, who was a migrant from Guangzhou, China. He assisted his father selling home made Wanton Mee and Chee Cheong Choke when he was nine in Karak and continued the trade until today.
Today, I ordered his fabulous CCC. Every scoop is filled with lots of crunchy fried pig intestines, Chinese crullers and other fragrant spare parts. It's already so perfectly cooked that you don't even have to add in additional soy sauce, sesame oil or white pepper to enhance its taste. The best part is the subtle flavour of roast pork that eclipse all the other aromatic ingredients when you are about to swallow the porridge; that's the beauty!
I can safely say this is the ultimate good taste CCC available in Kuantan. Or do we have other stalls selling CCC in Kuantan? I guess not.
Only RM7.00 per bowl. Cheap and super good.
His cousin operates a stall in Karak Town too. Outlet name is also Choi Kee.
