Beef Noodles, Chicken Rice, Non-Halal
Stepping into Man Kee HK Beef Restaurant is like stepping into an actual Hong Kong restaurant that has been transplanted to KL. Hidden on the first floor of Telawi Square, it’s a restaurant with small premises, low ceiling, small tables and the proximity of the next table bordering on claustrophobic closeness.
Why subject yourself to all that? Because it’s an authentic Hong Kong Beef Brisket noodle. Officially opened on 8 August 2022, Man Kee HK Beef Restaurant has already amassed a following. You can have the beef brisket with hor fun or egg noodles (which has the same texture as yee mee) or have it dry or with soup.
We had the 5 treasure bowl (RM38 nett) and also a chicken rice (RM20 nett). The beef brisket, tendon, stomach, intestine, meatball was stewed perfectly with the right amount of tenderness and soaked in a flavourful broth. The chicken rice was firm and aromatic (I ate rice again!) and the free range chicken meat was tender, well seasoned and succulent. The braised radish soup (RM10 nett) was a good add on with the sweetness of the soup complementing the savoury dishes we had.
Prices are nett.
