Bagan Seafood Restaurant Dinner

Chiefeater Christine Tan and several of her friends decided on a seafood dinner at Bagan Seafood Restaurant
Chinese, Seafood, Non-Halal
We went on a short food trip to Ipoh where a friend recommended that we drive to Taiping to have fresh seafood and she wasn't wrong. We arrived around 1 pm in the afternoon to find the place pleasantly quiet with just a few tables filled. While it was a hot afternoon, the open air restaurant was cool with a slight breeze and plenty of mega fans blowing.
We promptly sat down to immediately study the menu and ordered some dishes. While they cook, we took the opportunity to enjoy the surrounding which is typically a fishing village but I must say that the food that came was nothing short of caught off the river and straight to the pan. It was delish!
The kamheong cockles was tasty, not too salty and super fresh. The salt-baked crab (not featured) was by far the best I've tasted as it wasn't overly salty and the meat ever so sweet. The steamed fish was of the same taste that I had when I was young and that took me back to my childhood.
Overall, a very satisfying lunch and I'll come back in a heartbeat. Best part is that it's affordably priced.
