I had wanted to explore beyond the usual suspects and kopitiams, so started googling for brunch around Puchong. This quaint café, Haus 7 Cafe, caught my eye.

It is a converted restaurant from a small house, past the famous Yong Tau Fu of Batu 14 Puchong. You'd have to drive past a cemetery to get here (haha). There were ample parking spaces beside it. However, the road at the carpark was just red earth, and you have to cross a small bridge to get into the "carpark". So leave your beloved cars at home if you're worried of getting it dirty. Or you could park at the space beside the building just before the Cafe.

The decor of of Haus 7 Cafe is minimalistic, tasteful and simple. With croissants and pies at the counter.

Sat down and looked at the menu. Prices were quite okay, with most dishes around the RM10+ to RM20+ range. I was tempted to take the all day breakfast, but figured it's a little too normal. And surprisingly, the other brunches were unavailable already (ends 11.30am, it was 11.38am when we arrived).

I ordered the Spicy Portuguese Chicken (RM20.80+), while my wife ordered the Petai Fried Rice (RM15.80+). Both dishes turned out quite good, but rather spicier than we had liked. Cappuccino was nicely done. My only gripe was, my iced latte was such little glass (pls see pic). With ice, I can't imagine how much coffee was actually in there.

Before we left Haus 7 Cafe, we ordered 2 pies for the kids costing RM10.80+ each, which I think were quite costly for the puny size.

Anyway, it's quite a pleasant experience. I would be back to Haus 7 Cafe try other dishes here.
