Hono Omakase is Theatrical
Japanese, Omakase
Chiefeater Luke Soon considers Hono Omakase one of the most theatrical omakase experiences in Singapore

Omakase, Fine Dining, Pork-Free
When my client asked me if I liked beef and and I said no I don’t like, I LOVE beef! We then went on an adventure to a superb fine dining Japanese restaurant in Old Klang Road and what a hidden gem it was!

Our 11 course meal included A5 Miyazaki Wagyu beef in 6 different cuts, sashimi, salad, wagyu and foie gras claypot rice, wagyu croquettes, oxtail soup, and yuzu, goma and wasabi ice cream. The beef was melt in your mouth and every dish was a delight! The wagyu and foie gras claypot rice actually had wok hei and was crispy at the sides, creamy in the centre. Service here was top notch and Lucus our server and chef Yuen were so attentive and funny!

To top off this wonderful experience, I just had to take a solo photo “under the stars” in the restaurant, which was so pretty and instagramable. Such an experience like this in Singapore would probably cost SGD 1k but here, it was RM688 for 2 pax. below SGD200 per pax – impossible to find in Singapore! So this place is a must visit for any beef lover going down to KL coz it’s so worth it. Good things must share, don’t say bojio.
