Cantonese Fried, Noodles, Non-Halal
Tsuen Wan Sunway Geo is a restaurant I've frequented and ordered from via food delivery a few times, and they have yet to let me down. My latest find there involved the Stir Fried Hor Fun with Beef, a dish that left quite an impression.
This dish has its origins in Guangdong, China, and made its way to Hong Kong, where it evolved and became a staple in Cantonese cuisine. The hallmark of this dish is an aromatic wok hei, which imparts a fragrant smokiness to the dish.
At Tsuen Wan Sunway Geo, the Stir Fried Hor Fun with Beef (RM18.90) exemplified this tradition. The noodles were perfectly cooked, capturing that coveted wok hei. The beef was tender and melded seamlessly with the noodles, creating a dish that was both robust and satisfying. The subtle smokiness intertwined with the savoury elements, making each bite a delightful experience.
This dish was excellent and something I would come back for. I am impressed with their ability to deliver authentic, well-executed dishes that stay true to their Cantonese roots. While they originally started with this shop in Sunway Geo, they now have several outlets around the Klang Valley.
We also had a bowl of Vermicelli Soup with Chicken Chop but really, it got blown away by the Fried Hor Fun.
