Sinsuran Sang Nyuk Mee has long been an iconic establishment in Kota Kinabalu, famed for its delicious pork noodles. With roots tracing back several decades, this humble shop has built a reputation for serving authentic Sabah-style pork noodles, drawing locals and tourists alike to experience its comforting flavours. We had our breakfast at Sinsuran Sang Nyuk Mee Plaza Permai, one of their many branches in KK.

During my visit, I opted for the konlau mee with mixed pork items, which came served in a hearty soup. The mixed pork items were quite good, with tender and flavourful slices of pork, pork liver, and other cuts that showcased the shop's commitment to quality. Each bite of the pork was enjoyable, offering a satisfying start to the morning.

However, I found the broth to be somewhat lacking in intensity. While it was pleasant, I would have preferred a more concentrated and robust flavour to complement the rich pork elements. A stronger broth would have elevated the entire dish, providing a more satisfying and well-rounded experience.

Despite my preference for a bolder broth, the quality of the pork and the historic charm of the establishment make it a must-visit if you are in this area.

Our meal for 3 pax came up to RM47 for 3 bowls of sang nyuk mee with drinks.
