Prangin Lane (Lorong Prangin) is a historic street in the old quarters of George Town, Penang, that runs parallel to Prangin Road and links Beach Street to Carnarvon Street. Penang Hokkien call it Kiam3 Hu3 Tnia2, which means “salted fish yard”. Coincidentally, numerous distinctive restaurant brands operate along this quaint, tranquil lane and our favorite are Niang Penang and Thara Thai, unfortunately they’re close today. And then we saw this Ichi Tong Georgetown and we curiously sneaked in and see and then we tried. Food not bad and we had garlic egg prawn fried rice, sour spicy fresh tiger grouper soup and signature minced pork rice.
