Nam Hing Loong Restaurant Dinner
Chinese, Non-Halal
- RM20 - RM50 per pax
Chiefeater Julian Mok and his family stopped at Nam Hing Loong Restaurant in Temoh for a dinner before heading to Ipoh
Koay Teow Th'ng, Street Food, Non-Halal
Lunch at Restoran Soon Lee sounds like a sentimental experience for me, especially since it brought back memories of my parents. It's wonderful how food can connect us to memories from our past. For them, this particular KTT was a connection to Penang.
The Koay Teow Th'ng, with its delicate balance of broth, koay teow, and slices of meat, with some lard croutons sprinkled on top had a comforting simplicity. I might even say the broth was a bit bland. RM8 for a small bowl sounds like a steal, considering it's reputed as one of the best in PJ.
Do note that Shoon Lee Coffee Shop has moved back to it's original bungalow in PJ Old Town.
