White Curry Mee, Street Food, Non-Halal
Was at Viva Local Food Haven at 5 pm (trying to avoid the dinner crowd) and I chanced upon this White Curry Mee stall. After ordering, the proprietor of the stall, Madam Saw hand-delivered the bowl of noodles at my table and immediately remarked, “This is your first time to my stall! “. I sheepishly nodded. And that, was the beginning of our wonderful conversation.

Her stall started off 4 months ago and it’s one of the few White Curry Mee around Tanjung Tokong and Tanjung Bungah area. I ordered a small bowl with extra blood and it was simply delicious! The chili paste was great and not too overpowering. She also offers cockles if you wish, a rarity by itself in Penang these days.

She’s ever smiling and was switching back and forth in fluent English, Hokkien and Mandarin with her customers at her stall. Her off days are on Wednesdays, once every fortnight. Do come try and you won’t regret it!
The foodcourt operates from 5 pm to 12 midnight.
The price of the bowls.
