Yunnan, Non-Halal
I was at Pavilion KL during lunch time and hunger pangs struck me. I wanted to try something new and opted to have lunch at Yun Nans Pavilion KL. Jen and I wanted something that did not look frightfully spicy and two dishes piqued our interest.

Strange sounding name for this drink. Duck Shit Lemon Tea. But tasted like a lemon tea.

The Poached Pork with Pickled Chili (RM39.90) was also excellent. The pork was incredibly tender and delicately flavored, complemented perfectly by the tangy kick of the pickled chili in the broth. This is a dish to work up an appetite.

The Crispy Hor Fun with Truffle Prawn Broth (RM29.90) possessed a wonderful “wok hei” – that smoky char you can only get from a truly skilled wok cook – which elevated the entire dish. The hor fun itself had a satisfying crispness, and it arrived with a sauce; however, I found it to be quite enjoyable even without adding any extra flavour.

These two dishes together with drinks at totaled RM96.50. Not cheap but not exorbitantly expensive either. The generous portions meant we were both comfortably full.
The staff are highly attentive. I accidentally dropped my chopsticks on the floor and a wait staff quickly got me another pair without me needing to call them. And this during the busy lunch hour when all tables were occupied.
