Chiefeater YW Looi found a good experience with the simple and comforting fare that he had at Restoran Yuan Fong in SS4 PJ

Beef Noodles, Street Food, Non-Halal
I went to this wantan mee shop in Puchong Jaya called Xiguan Authentic Wonton Noodles. I ordered the HK Style Beef Stew Noodles (RM16.90). It was very good. The soup was thick and flavourful, full of beefy goodness. The meat was tender and didn’t require much effort to chew. The radish was so soft, it just melted in the mouth. The wantan noodles were springy and chewy. I also ordered the signature coffee (RM5.20), which tasted good, but I didn’t like that it came sealed in a single-use cup. Still prefer the reusable cups (environmentally friendly).

The bowl of noodles was delivered by a robot waiter, which was cute, but had loud music. Since the shop was full at lunchtime, the robot waiter’s perpetual music during delivery became annoying pretty fast. I also wondered why there was a bicycle in front. Oh, it’s for deco.
Would I come back again to Xiguan Authentic Wonton Noodles? Yes, definitely. Just for this beef stew noodles. I will try the wantan mee some other time. FYI, it’s closed at night.
