Finally, the weekend is here, and my plan to go visit Restoran Keng Nam Hai can be accomplished. Woke up at 630am, get ready, and head down to Sentul Barat Station at 730am to Kampung Batu Station. Took a 4 mins walk over a pedestrian bridge, and wahlaaa!!! We reached there at 8 am, and we really can secure a table. Thank you Mel Lim, for your advice to reach before 830am.
Hubby's target is Fried Har Meen, and there's too many choices for me to choose from. I ended up with Kai See Hor Fun.
Fried Har Meen @ RM10 per plate - very flavourful. The best among those we have tried. Very cukup ingredients. Came with 3x large sized prawns and 4-5 white squids in different sizes. Some are as big as my thumb.
Kai See Hor Fun @ RM9/bowl - flavourful broth, lots of Kai See, 2x mid-sized prawn, 2x fishball, and Hor Fun. Portion is a bit big for me.
Roti Bakar - I'm not sure how much it costs. But it's not to my liking. It's too dry and you can hardly taste the kaya and planta that was spread in between the 2 slices of toasted bread.
Cham Ping is good. We like it. A balance mixture of coffee and tea. The cost for 2x Cham Ping & 1x Roti Bakar is RM8.
My only disappointment today is the stall operator selling Rojak is not there. We tapau Roasted Chicken Rice @ RM7/pack for my anak² and some Nyonya Kueh - 2x Angku, 2x Chai Po & 2x Chai Tau Kueh @ RM7.80.
Will definitely go back again for their Curry Mee, Rojak, and Char Kuey Teow. Sekian and selamat mencuba for those planning to go after reading my post about Restoran Keng Nam Hai.
