Mee Hoon, Street Food
An order from the Hong Kee stall at DG Food Court in Pusat Bandar Puchong brought a highly satisfying delivery experience. This bustling local hawker centre is a favorite for its wide array of street food.
The Sambal Petai Mee Hoon (RM17.90) delivered a really good flavor profile with petai that was exceptionally pungent, exactly as preferred. The dish featured a generous amount of these bitter beans stir-fried with thin rice vermicelli and egg.

Jen ordered the Fried Beef Kuey Teow (RM17.90) which I will say pales in comparison to the mee hoon.

Fried Beef Kuey Teow: RM17.90
Sambal Petai Mee Hoon: RM17.90
Delivery Fee: RM3.60
Offers Applied: -RM10.00
Total Bill: RM29.40
Average spend of under RM15 per person
Score: 7.5/10
M – Meal Value
At RM17.90 per plate before discounts, the pricing is slightly higher than standard walk-in hawker rates but is justified by the specialty ingredients like petai. When combined with app-based offers, it represents good value for a hearty dinner delivered to your door (especially when it is raining).
Score: 7.5/10
V – Vroomness of Delivery
The delivery factor was excellent, allowing for a high-quality meal without the need to navigate food court crowds. The delivery fee was reasonable at RM3.60 (in inclement weather), and the food arrived in good condition for immediate enjoyment.
Score: 7.5/10
X – X-Factor
The pungent intensity of the petai is the definitive X-factor. It is becoming more difficult to find a version that doesn’t hold back on the characteristic “stink” and flavor of the beans, making this a memorable and reliable choice for enthusiasts of the ingredient.
Score: 7.5/10
