Durian
It was a durian farm discovery day for us. After a good dose of red prawns & green skin at Durian Kaki stall, we drove a short 20 minutes to 406 Dusun Durian at Balik Pulau. This was our very first time here. It was easy to locate this farm. 406 Dusun is owned by the Khoo family. Ah Hong, one of the two sons, told us that his 8 acres farm is more than 40 years old.

He recommended that we try his "Lobster" durian. In hokkien it is called "Leng hae"
Colour of the pulp is similar to red prawn but the taste was different. Not as intense or bitter as a good old tree red prawn but flesh was very smooth.


We were told Capri was the most popular here but currently the season for Capri at this farm is over.
The other plus point is that this farm serve Chinese tea like "Pu Er, tie huan yin". A very nice environment for eating durians, drinking hot Chinese tea and listening to soft music. This farm also cater for people who like camping at a certain rate. Food is provided.
