Bukit Tambun Hokkien Mee is a noodle stall is hidden in Bukit Tambun. It’s a small town famous for its seafood restaurants on the mainland side of Penang.
The proprietor, Mr Ong Lee San, has been selling Hokkien Mee, Loh Mee and Jawa Mee for more than 50 years (as of 2022). He used to hawk his noodle dishes around this neighbourhood on his motorcycle. As his age is catching up with him, he has decided to set up a stall in front of his house. He operates his stall with the help of his family members.

Loh Mee

Mee Jawa

Personally, his noodle dishes are among the better ones and he is generous on their portion. Pork trotters, big prawns and baby octopus are available as add-ons.
Open : 11.00 am – 5.00 pm
Closed : Thursday
Editor’s note
This shop is so famous that they are the definitive Hokkien Mee at Bukit Tambun.
Hokkien Mee is known as Har Mee or Prawn Mee south of the Northern Malaysian states.
