Izakaya Unatoto Bến Thành is known for unagi, but it was the Nishin Kazunoko, cold soba and sour plum Sapporo that we enjoyed most

Noodles, Street Food
SS2 Food Street | Finally got to eat the Singaporean Hokkien Fried Noodles I’ve been craving.
Sometimes dinner is just about wanting something special, and today was really “a dream come true”! Coming to SS2 Food Street, I discovered a newly opened CJ Yummy Noodles, and what they were selling was the Singaporean Hokkien Fried Noodles I was really looking forward to!
Since leaving Singapore, this Hokkien Fried Noodles has been one of my unforgettable local delicacies.
I chatted with the owner, and it turned out she was originally from Singapore, married in Malaysia, and had settled in KL. Because she missed her hometown’s taste so much, and had loved cooking since childhood, she decided to open her own stall and bring the flavors of her hometown to KL.
Here you can find not only Hokkien Fried Noodles, but also:
🍜 Singaporean Dry Shrimp Noodles
🍜 Singaporean Meatball Noodles
🍜 Singaporean Spicy Noodles
🍜 Penang Shrimp Noodles
The Singaporean Spicy Noodles are only available on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, so friends who want to try it should remember to check the timing!
The owner told me that all the ingredients are freshly prepared every day, because she treats every customer like her own family, so she makes sure to give everyone the best ingredients.
Today I ordered a plate of Hokkien fried shrimp noodles first, and after finishing it, I felt unsatisfied, so I directly ordered another portion to take away!
The happiest thing is that this plate of Hokkien fried shrimp noodles is still the hometown flavor personally stir-fried by Singaporeans, that familiar taste really brings back memories.
Sometimes when looking for delicious food, it’s not just to fill your stomach, but to find the taste and memories that belong to your hometown.
After being away from Singapore for so long, today I finally got to eat that unforgettable plate of Hokkien fried shrimp noodles.
