Hono Omakase is Theatrical

Chiefeater Luke Soon considers Hono Omakase one of the most theatrical omakase experiences in Singapore

Cakes, Fine Dining
Wanted to visit the DIOR Gold House Bangkok when I was in Seoul in December but couldn’t get a reservation. So glad that my bestie got us a reservation in Bangkok! I really love how they use rattan to weave beautiful floral and bird designs on the walls and the furniture had beautiful floral embroidery stitched on them.

I was initially skeptical that the cakes would be pretty to look at but maybe not so great in taste but boy was I wrong! The couture inspired cakes by chef Mauro Colagreco were delicious works of art. We ordered Le Soleil and L Abeille and my favourite was definitely the L Abeille, a mix of honey, jasmine and hazelnut with a Cannage tuile and crunchy base. Absolutely heavenly! My usual poison is a cappuccino but this time I also ordered the cold brew with lavender and it was so good!

The boutique itself had a huge collection of Miss Dior bags, literally from floor to ceiling in all kinds of colours and designs. Even their collection of clothes, shoes and bags is way more than any DIOR store in Singapore.

Definitely a wonderful experience and a must visit for Dior fans.
