Dim Sum, Non-Halal
Enroute home on the MRT, my craving for dim sum led me to Golden Sun Restaurant, conveniently located near the Kuchai LRT station. Walking into Golden Sun Restaurant, I was greeted by a bustling atmosphere, with diners enjoying a variety of steamed and fried delicacies. Their menu features a wide array of dim sum but since I just needed a snack, I ordered a Siew Mai, Har Gao and a fluffy Char Siew Bao.
The Siew Mai was had good flavour, combining a savoury pork filling with a touch of shrimp, all wrapped in a delicate, moist casing. It set a promising tone for the meal.

Har Gao is a test of any dim sum spot's prowess. While the prawns inside were fresh and succulent, the skin was slightly thicker than I prefer, detracting a bit from the overall experience.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the char siew bao. These fluffy steamed buns were generously filled with tender, sweet-savoury char siew, offering a delightful contrast of textures and flavours with each bite.

Our meal with a pot of tea was RM41.
Golden Sun Restaurant is a convenient stop for a dim sum lover passing through Kuchai Lama.
