Chicken Chop, Halal
It’s amazing that it took me so long to try the Hainanese Chicken Chop at Kluang Station. After all, I am at 3 Damansara Mall and they are just a few doors away from Union Coffee. But I finally did and the following is what I have to say about it.
Kluang Station states that Heritage Shared is their brand. They are a ‘local coffee’ chain store that bring heritage memory for generations.
The plating would be reminiscent of an old kopitiam. Some fries, A few potato cubes. A few peas and some slices of tomatoes. Sauce doused over a piece of a chicken fried in a batter. The sauce that they serve is a brownish tomato based sauce which was not entirely appealing to my tastebuds.

Biting in to the piece of chicken is where the teeth meets meat. This is where it separates the real deal from the pretenders. And the chicken chop at Kluang Station is a pretender. That’s not to say it tastes bad or the chicken meat is hard. In no way, did their food suck. The chicken chop was competent but hardly compelling.

At RM21.90++ at a chain outlet, perhaps I was holding them to a higher standard.
The ++ is for a 10% service charge and a 6% SST.
