Chiefeater Paula Tan had some delicious Chinese offerings at Dian Mandarin Bistro in Big Tree Square

Chinese, Non-Halal
I was introduced to Lau Ee Home Kitchen, a charming family-run restaurant that impressed me with its quality dishes. Here are some highlights from my visit:

I started with their shark fin soup “Thai Style”, and it was a nice change from what you usually find at wedding banquets. The broth was rich and tasty, making the dish feel special. It’s a unique offering, differently authentic.

Next, I tried the dark goose leg, and it was deliciously tender and packed with flavor, paired perfectly with the noodles. Each bite was satisfying and comforting, making it one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while.

Then came the “High Quality” Fish Maw which was another standout. It was really good, crispy chewy.

You could tell this family take pride in using fresh ingredients, which made the dish even better. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking it out!
