Curry Mee, Yam Cake, Non-Halal
Loong Hwa Kopitiam is a familiar haunt for me, but this time I decided to veer away from my usual order of chicken chop and opted for something different – the curry mee with wantan mee noodles.

It’s worth noting that you have to specify your noodle preference, otherwise you’ll receive the default yellow noodles. Luckily, I remembered to ask for wantan mee noodles, and I was pleased with the texture – not too soft, just right. The curry itself was a delightful surprise – rich, flavorful, and satisfying. It paired perfectly with the noodles, creating a comforting and hearty bowl of curry mee. Pair it with their Hainan tea, and it becomes doubly satisfying.

To complement my meal, I also tried the yam with curry sauce, and I must say, it was a hit. The combination of tender yam (if I am being critical then maybe a bit on the soft side) and flavourful curry sauce was a winning combination. Definitely a dish that is worth ordering again.

Overall, I was glad I strayed from my usual order and tried something new at Loong Hwa.
