Indian
After sunday service we went looking for a place for lunch. Found Masala Mansion situated along jalan Doraisamy among heritage buildings converted to restaurants and cafe. A nice nostalgia area in the middle of the city.

We ordered their thali biriyani rice set and mutton perattal for the protein to share. It was served in a pleasing looking set.

Initially the mutton looks little however we realise the bowl is wider at the bottom which compensated for the smaller visual top. I first dip the papadum into the mutton curry and was straightaway impressed how good the curry taste. The curry and well salted crisp papadum taste very good that I took another dip. Everything in the set taste very good and tastefully balanced between the rice, vege and mutton . Believe the spice used are of high quality.

Chef did a good job with good attention to details in bringing out the flavours of each dish. Cardamon tea is nice and comforting too. I finished every bits of what served without leaving any left over 😂.

The ambience is cozy and service are good and pleasant. After enjoying the atmosphere relaxing a while we further order a set of two capati to complete our lunch. I must say it did not disappoint as again the wheat they use is good quality that the flavour stands out well.
Our total bill for two came out to RM69.30 which we find to be value for money for the fine food experince.
Thali Biryani Rice: RM24
Mutton Perattal: RM17
Chappati: RM12
Cardamom Tea: RM10
Total with Service Charge: RM69.30
Average pricing per pax: RM34.65
