Today, we chanced upon a gem. Old Frenz Restaurant at Tringkap, Cameron Highlands looked like an ordinary roadside eatery, with a no frills old school chicken rice shop ambience. However, I noticed there were a lot of chickens, ducks, Chinese sausages and roast pork just hanging there, and the shop was full of noisy locals celebrating Chinese New Year together. There was a vibrant festive vibe. These are indications of tasty food.

For lunch, we ordered a trio platter of roast duck (their signature item), roast chicken and lap cheong, and yau mak veggies stir fried with garlic. All three of us found the food to be delicious, along with the thick dark sauce coating the meats and chilli sauce. Ho chiak. I will definitely come again.
