Chiefeater Jaimy Yee had Vietnamese food for dinner at Obama’s Bun Cha in Tanjung Tokong

Vietnamese, Non-Halal
Tonight, our private driver took us to a local BBQ restaurant for dinner. He is local here, and says that this is where the locals eat. The restaurant is a wooden joint situated in the outskirt of town. It’s a very traditional joint, using charcoal stove, and a ceramic roofing tile as an innovative frying pan.

We had pork slices, venison slices, chinese sausage fried rice, fried chicken wings and crispy spring rolls.

The pork and venison slices was very well marinated, and upon cooking was really flavourful and tasty.

Surprisingly, the fried rice was very good, aromatic and flavourful.

The spring rolls was crispy and yummy, surprisingly with a whim of 5-spice powder.

Chicken Wings

Service was good, and price was very reasonable as this was situated in the local area away from the tourists area. Would not be able to find this place with our local driver.
