Hokkien Mee, Non-Halal
“Once you’ve tasted it, you’ll yearn for it day and night,” is what I feel about the Hokkien Mee at Restoran Paramount 86.
In the Petaling district, there are numerous Hokkien-style fried noodle stalls. Personally, I have a strong preference for this Hokkien-style fried vermicelli stall. The noodles are cooked to perfection (using a Turbocharged stove), especially when you take them home to eat. The thick vermicelli absorbs the braising sauce and pork lard, becoming delightfully chewy and flavorful. Every time I eat their Hokkien-style fried vermicelli, I find myself eating slower and slower, afraid of finishing it all too quickly, cherishing every bite.”
