Chee Cheong Fun (Aka – Steam Rice Rolls) Penang Style comes accompanied with Prawn Paste, Sweet Sauce, and Chillies Sauce, topped with Sasame Seed, and fried Crispy Shallots. Restoran Yang Way is a place that has a stall that serves it well.
No other add ons like tim cheong, yong tau fu, chicken curry, required. There other variations of sauce, eg the Taiping version with pickle green cut chillies and sweet sauce, or the Telok Intan Aka Telok Anson version steam with dried prawns.
Usually found in Hawkers stalls on the island, something quite rare on the Mainland, the Silky Smooth rice rolls are usually centrally manufacturer and distributed, with the individual stalls usually have their own sauces which make a big difference.
