Roti Bakar, Pork-Free
this morning as i was going to UTC komtar walk, my friend and i had brunch at the Roti Bakar Hutton Lane cafe. both of us ordered the same - roti bakar telur goyang garlic cheese. RM8.50 each.
after taking the roti bakar (toast) as i don't really feel full, so i took a packet of the nasi lemak (RM2.50) with ikan billis (anchovies) and telur (egg). unfortunately forgot to take a photo of the nasi lemak. also tapau a pack of fried bihun (RM3.00).
roti bakar telur goyang garlic cheese RM8.50.
today i try it, i found that i like it, unlike last year when i try it, felt it was average. my friend who try it for the first time also like it and said she don't mind trying it again.
the bread was toast very well and the egg consistency was just right for me.
fried bihun. RM3.00. with 2 small prawns and 2 small fishcakes. not bad.
oh the nasi lemak (with anchovies and egg) was not bad too. i like it that it was spicy... but this bihun not spicy at all.
at that time (around 11.30am) they also had two types of nasi dalca - either with ayam merah or daging. i did not take photos of the menu since i'm showing their QR code which contains the menu. as the name of the cafe is familiar to me, i realise i had try it before but at another location - jln phee choon (majestic theatre road)
that time i found it just so-so but today i found it quite nice. my friend, who first time trying it, like it very much and said it was good.
the dining area is al-fresco (open space) and big and spacious. lots of dining tables around. it was very crowded when we walked by (around 10.00am) before stopping at it. after doing some business and we went back, it was not so crowded. can dine inside too but very limited tables.
it's easy to made an order as you can scan the menu QR code, pick your order and submit. then later when your food ready, they will bring the food to you and you go to the counter to pay after finished your food. hardcopy menu is available too.
