I guessed Salwa Mee Udang is one of the earliest Telur Kumbar Mee Udang in Penang and my first time trying mee udang is also here. That time was more than 30 years ago and it was a small broken makeshift atap house without proper tables and chairs!

At times I seriously jealous about people from other states especially southern regions. They can come to Penang for holiday at anytime but Penang people don’t know where to go. They come to us because we have good food, spectacular scenery, nice windy seaside, cooling hillside and pretty women’s too but when we go to their place, we don’t know what to see or eat!

Other than Mee Udang, we had the real Penang kampong malay laksa at Salwa Mee Udang. it was darned good to taste and we were enjoying looking at the “hai” too as it was so good to smell!
