Han’s Cafe Pork Chop
Chiefeater Eddie Low caught with a friend at Han's Cafe and enjoyed a simple dinner of Hainanese Pork Rice

Mee Goreng, Street Food, Pork-Free
Getting my occasional fiery breakfast fix at Siti Laila Muslim Food. In Malaysia such stalls would be on mobile trucks or at makeshift roadside stalls. In Singapore of course all food are sold in shops or food courts.
I love the multiple food offerings of such Malay warungs. Lontong, mee goreng, bihun hailam, nasi lemak bungkus, roti pratha, ubi kayu rebus, taukua sumbat, tempeh sambal, telur balado, rendang daging, ayam masak merah, cucur badak, kuih salak , kueh binka and macam macam kuih lagi.
Good affordable food aside, you can feel the camaraderie of simple folks of multiple races enjoying a simple breakfast together in unpretentious settings.
