Nan Yang Kopitiam Glen Waverley Sarawak Laksa
Sarawak Laksą, Non-Halal
Chiefeater Eddie Low had not had the Sarawak Laksa at Nan Yang Kopitiam Glen Waverley for months and came back for it
Seafood, Non-Halal
This place off the Kutchan Main Street is delicious. Unpretentious setting, in a snowdrop setting: run by it seems by a matriarch, and her daughters. Like 3 sisters char kuey teow but sushi in Hokkaido. It doesn’t get fresher than this - Hokkaido seafood.
The crab kani hotpot was the obvious star tonight.
We do konbu (swaweed) hotpot’s at home - but maybe the -5c weather and spurious snow adds to the vibe. There’s no replacing the authentic tatami mat dining experience in heavy snow
We had some undisclosed / unnamed house / cloudy sake - and they were all out of this world. Total 7/10 for the entire experience. With the price built in, maybe even 7.5/10.
Everything came under SGD250 (USD188) - a relative steal, given the amount and type of food : drinks we had.
